Extras

Although the Kiwi Crusade is a fully supported event we offer numerous extras to make the experience even easier for our competitors. The extra’s are at an extra charge and are not covered in the entry fee.

Bike Race AccommodationThe Kiwi Crusade provides a fully-supported race with one tent per team, plus three meals at each venue. However, we know that some will make use of the many B&B’s along the way. If you do decide to plan some of your own logistics, please understand we are unable to cater for supporters in the race villages for obvious reasons.

You must arrange your own transport to and form the B&B’s.

You will need to arrange your accommodation up to the start of stage 2. As the 1st stage takes place in Whakatane we will not erect a race village until the end of stage 2 where stage 2 finishes in Opotoki. You may want to book the same accommodation for the night on your return/last stage and possibly ask them to keep your bike cases etc until your return.

massage-packagesDaily massages are an important and one of the most soothing experiences of the event. Studies show that massage increases recovery and improves performance in multi-stage events, and it feels great! There will be qualified therapists who will be available to tape at each race village.This service does not need to be pre-booked.

Cost – $250 per rider for the event. 30min post stage massages daily by a qualified masseuse.

Massage Enquiry

massage-packagesWe have made provision for a small number of camper vans within the race village but there is a nominal charge for this, a camper van will need to be driven by a supporter and so we have made provision for a small number of supporter’s to eat alongside the riders at a nominal charge. We cannot cater for large numbers of supporters as space is at a premium and so there are a very limited number of supporter places available on a first come first served basis.

Supporters can purchase a meal package for the 6 days on a first come first served basis. This will allow you full access to the race village amenities and main marquee for all meals. Please note only a limited number of supporter packages will be made available so please book early to avoid disappointment.

The cost of a supporter package is $450 per person. There is no accommodation included in this package.

The additional cost for camper vans is $150 charge for “parking” space in all the race villages.

Either team member can enter the substitution application details The cost is $150 per substitution Credit card and EFT payments will be accepted for the substitutions You can come back to pay later, or pay immediately when you do the substitution. Please do not assume the substitution is complete until payment has been made and the Substitution Confirmation email has been received. Please note all team participants including the race organiser will be notified of substitutions.

To make the substitution follow these steps: Log in to the entry system here using your passport number. You will see a summary screen of your team details Click the “Substitute” button Click on the “Add” button Select the person from the “Current Team Members” box whom you wish to substitute and ensure they are added to the “Members to be Substituted” box Click the “Confirm” button Enter the ID and details of the new team member A summary screen confirming that the substitution has taken place will appear – this means your substitution will be saved Payment can now be made immediately or at a later stage.

You will receive an email confirming acceptance of this substitution If you are the second rider, you won’t be able to pay and you will need to contact your partner to make payment If you are the Team Lead, click on the “Proceed to Checkout” button to make the payment You will receive an email confirming your substitution.

Refunds up to 30 September 2015 at 75% of the total team entry fee Refunds up to the 31 November 2015 at 50% of total team entry fee. Team entries are fully transferable at an admin fee of $200 per rider transferred.
